Morning everyone. See I'm the first one in this morning.

Gram's off enjoying some vacation time(Didn't she just do that?.....lol). Just joking.
I know she had a good reason to take 6 weeks off....lol  Hope you enjoy your company  & let them wait on you now & then. Treat you to dinner out. etc all the good stuff a vacation has to offer.

I'm planning a mini vacation to NB today. Looking for places to stay today. etc.

We're heading for Moncton in August, hopefully meet up with Karin & second to that a meal at St Hubert if it's still there. Taking in the kite festival. Lots of pretty stuff flying around the Moncton/Dieppe skies.

Of to south shore this weekend.
Next weekend is town wide yard sale. I get to shop instead o sell this year, yeah.....
First weekend in August is going away party on south shore
Then second weekend is the kite festival.

Morning! Watching the Tour de France, really looking forward to tomorrow's leg, I'll have to be up early! it's in the Medoc area of Bordeaux, the route we were on last year, Chateau Margaux, Rothschild, La Tour are all up there...yummy! Speaking of yummy, last night at the pool, a Japanese fellow with most awesome abs, wow! The yoga is fun, twisting yourself like a pretzel and trying to stay standing in the water is not easy.

Hmm...Taryn said she had vodka for breakfast,then heard nothing but Michael Buble in a cafe and then saw a big snake...twice!! could there be a connection?? 

Splendiferous day, have to drive out to Saanich later today so might check out an alternative nekkid beach  and grab some more berries on the way back, yippee!! Gee KI#1, I never go to yard sales, I have too much of my own crap!

Morning all!
Just finished a busy few days. Into Gananoque (visiting old sites)
then lunch, the casino and off to Kingston.

Checked into hotel, took a wander, had supper, watched TV before bed.
Breakfast in Kingston, stopped for freebies at the paint factory (TriArt) golfed (hot and thunderous)then back to the Casino (I love Roulette... it paid for the hotel and the golf and supper) then home.
Yesterday, had to take the cat to the vet, punctured his foot on something and it hit an artery. So much for the winnings..  Now he has a bandage the size of a driving iron, and is NOT happy. I'm taking him back today for a smaller dressing...
Costco time too today. Need fries and 1/2 & 1/2

I can't see ever going to a Costco...with only 3 or 2 people...I'd waste more in gas most likely, our grocery store is so close, I shop for about 40 minutes, finito, our core grocery bill hasn't changed in ten years I don't think.  Rick likes to use his Visa and so does Taryn, so they get travel points, lol...

Oh, darn, going into Bordeaux and I have to leave! Toodles!

Howdy do...my company just slipped out for a few minutes to run an errand so I thought I'd pop in quickly to say hello.
They arrived safely at approx 10:20 pm last night...and just 30 mins before then I was over by the patio door closing the blinds when I accidently hopped right smack into the wheels of my walker and busted a couple of toes on my GOOD FOOT!!!!...well I'm guessing they're broke...they hurt like hell and are blacker than black so, I am thinking they are broke...I am in AGONY...that I do know.
What a way to start vacation eh?
I can barely move...damn it all to hell!

Hope your day is better than mine!

Vic, glad you are enjoying the Tour de France.  And I can understand Taryn being squeamish about snakes.  I'm not fond of them either.

Oh no Grammy!  That's unbelievable, what bad luck....   

I don't spend more than an hour in Costco, and rarely go more than once a month but there are certain things I can only get there, and I'm used to them.
If I can save $5+ on my propane (as today) it still worth the drive. I bought a large bag of pecans and a huge bunch of flowers too. I like to have fresh flowers in the house but haven't the time, the soil, or the enthusiasm to grow my own. Bought a bunch of creme brulees also. Mmmm. So good, and far less fuss than making myself (better too, to be honest)

Oh my goodness Grammy, ackkk! What on earth now?? 

I just came back from the peninsula, had to go pick up Taryn's computer, yay,fixed for nuthin'! Stopped and got some raspberries, boysenberries, lettuce and apple strudel. Those sorts of things are the only thing I would drive for, fresh stuff grown on the spot. I usually have my own flowers from hmmm...May thru Sept. and the rest of the year I let Rick buy them, and he does! Some of the corner stores around here have good prices. I think I will make a boysenberry crumble at some point. Still no duck egg..must be the off season I suppose....I want to try one, I've heard they're quite rich. I will lead the charge to small grocery stores, lol...I don't like any of those big joints or big hardware stores...let's hear it for the little guy!  I don't even like Safeway, they have that new-fangled lighting in there, I just find it hard to see by, I need a miner's lamp on my head.

Hehe, I don't think a snake around a neck would bother me, only if I was paddling up the Amazon or something.

I hope our weather holds for Sunday, it's absolutely perfect right now, about 24, air is as clear as a bell, mountains very sharp and snow-covered.
